After graduating from university, Toru started his career at Canon Inc.'s Accounting division. After passing the CPA exam, Toru joined KPMG AZSA LLC, worked mainly with overseas clients in the international division. Toru then moved to Finance and Accounting division of Dentsu Inc., engaged in highly professional operations such as consolidated financial reporting, J-SOX, group management etc.
